David Teniers the Younger (1610–1690) was a Flemish Baroque painter celebrated for his lively genre scenes depicting everyday life in 17th-century Flanders. He specialized in tavern interiors, village festivities, peasants at work, and guardroom scenes, bringing warmth, humor, and remarkable observation to ordinary subjects.

Working in Antwerp and later serving as court painter to Archduke Leopold Wilhelm of Austria, Teniers gained international recognition.
