Description
Catskill Mountain Scenery by John Frederick Kensett opens through a wooded valley toward a distant waterfall. A stream crosses the rocky foreground, where pale stones and uneven banks lead inward. Trees form a dark frame on both sides, leaving a brighter opening in the middle distance. The waterfall appears as a narrow pale line beyond the first stretch of water, linking the foreground stream to the far slope. The product is a hand-painted oil-on-canvas reproduction of Catskill Mountain Scenery by John Frederick Kensett.
