Famous Cat Paintings
Recreated by Hand
Cats have been slipping into paintings for centuries: curled on a lap, stealing fish from a kitchen table, arching their backs at the end of a bed or staring out of a Japanese print. This collection gathers famous cat paintings by Manet, Chardin, Landseer, Franz Marc, Mary Cassatt, Renoir, Kuniyoshi and Louis Wain, the artist who drew cats like no one else. Every painting is available as a hand-painted oil reproduction on real canvas, never a print.
The Most Famous Cats in Art
A black cat with its tail up at the foot of Olympia's bed, a monkey using a cat's paw to grab chestnuts, Franz Marc's two cats in bright colour, Kuniyoshi's crowd of cats: the best-known cats in painting.
Cats and Their People
Cats on laps, in arms and at the feet of their owners. Boilly's little Gabrielle, Cassatt's Sara, Renoir's young Julie Manet and Carl Larsson's black cat watching a painter by a bridge show the quiet affection painters saw between people and cats.
Kitchen Thieves
In still lifes the cat is the troublemaker, waiting for the cook to look away. Chardin painted cats eyeing fish, oysters and game on the kitchen table.

Painted by hand
A trained painter rebuilds the image in oils, with visible brushwork, layered colour and the small details that make the original come alive. These are not canvas prints.
The whole painting, never cropped
Every reproduction keeps the full composition at its true proportions. Choose a size that suits your wall and the painting is scaled, never cut or stretched.
