Description
Lake George II by John Frederick Kensett shows a quiet body of water receding into a softly lit mountain valley. A tall tree with rust-colored leaves rises on the right bank, its crown extending above the shore. Lower trees and shrubs descend along the opposite side, creating a broad opening toward the misty distance. The water fills the lower center and reflects the pale sky in muted gold and gray. A few small birds appear near the surface. This hand-painted oil-on-canvas reproduction recreates Lake George II by John Frederick Kensett.
