Below, people kneel or look upward around a central figure and architectural structure. The lower group forms a broad base, with figures arranged across the width and turned toward the centre. Their hands and faces direct attention upward. Clouds and diagonal movements connect this register to the elevated figure rather than dividing the painting with a hard line. Dark clothing and architecture provide weight below, while pale garments and sky open the upper portion. This shift in value strengthens the vertical route through the picture and keeps both zones visible at once.

Warm brown and ochre surround vivid red, blue and cream clothing. Light gathers around the clouds above and faces below, then softens near the curved edges.
